These five musicians are like the fingers of a virtuoso’s hand playing Klezmer music, from the shtetels of Eastern Europe. ‘Yankele’ means ‘little-John’, yet their art is grand. They take us on a journey between Paris and the origins of Klezmer music, blending French waltzes, Gypsy songs, Israeli lullabies and many more with tenderness, humour, and generosity.
