Roky Erickson, the voice behind the Elevators, will forever be enshrined in that small who’s who of Texas music pioneers that include T-Bone Walker, Buddy Holly, Freddie King, Willie Nelson and Janis Joplin. His followers are a small and devoted tribe; keepers of the flame, so to speak, for the inventor of Psychedelic music.
