Exotic rhythms of the Middle East have long been enjoyed by musical adventurers, but have in recent years found their way into the hearts of the mainstream, through a mixture of electronic beats, drums, techno and certainly hip-hop. The blending of flavors has opened the ears and hearts of all, and the music is now enjoyed on the dance floor, in lounges and clubs all around the world. This album explores it all: Haunting desert blues of North Africa – also known as Rai – moving percussion beats of bellydance and soulful traditional Arabic. This is music for the soul
