Nowosad’s sophomore album, Dialectics, finds him propelling his world-class quintet

Nowosad’s sophomore album, Dialectics, finds him propelling his world-class quintet through a program of hard-swinging, accessible, and exciting original music, while also navigating fresh interpretations of the music of Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, and Victor Schertzinger’s, ‘I Remember You.’ Featuring world-renowned tenor saxophonist, Jimmy Greene, and Canadian-based, New York expats, Steve Kirby and Derrick Gardner, the band pays tribute to both its ancestors and its contemporaries in a way that is thoughtful, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable.
