Beethoven’s most stirring string quartet paired with Ligeti’s ‘Metaphorphoses Nocturnes’

To celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday year, the Jupiter String Quartet created a concert series called Beethoven’s Orbit where they highlight emotional and structural themes, exploring how these elements influence works by other composers. Metamorphosis pairs Beethoven’s Op. 131 with Ligeti’s stunning String Quartet No. 1, ‘Mtamorphoses nocturnes.’
