Louis Wain’s Cats

A biography of English artist Louis Wain, filled packed with weird and wonderful cat art. During Wain’s lifetime, his drawings of cats appeared in periodicals and his own annuals, then increasingly on prints and postcards. To many, his cats have the definitive cat “look.” According to author H. G. Wells, Wain invented “a cat style, a cat society, a whole cat world.” Contributions from Rodney Dale and David Wootton.
