Brilliant pianist Michael Kaeshammer digs deeper into the jazz tradition while carving out his own unique musical vision

On his latest CD, Strut, Kaeshammer follows-up ‘No Strings Attached’ with an even deeper, funkier and more playful exploration of the music’s roots. Strut demonstrates his continued growth as a stylist, composer, and, on a sultry reading of Comes Love and a Professor Longhair-inspired version of Cry To Me, an emerging talent as a soulful vocalist. There’s not a brighter star on the jazz horizon
