On this fantastic follow-up to Odean’s List, tenor giant and living legend Odean Pope is shown in an intimate yet powerful trio setting with master drummer Billy Hart and the powerful bass of Lee Smith. Odean’s years playing in a piano-less quartet with Max Roach served him well, and give Odean’s Three its rich foundations. Each tune unravels in its own unique way.
