SUSPECTED OF MURDER. ON THE RUN. AGAINST ALL ODDS. Jack Cross has a backpack full of lock picks, excels at the art of disguise and camouflage, and is a master liar. Large corporations hire her and her husband Gabe to test the security of their buildings and attempt to breach their security systems and they are seriously good at their job. Or at least they were. When Jack botches a routine job for the insurance company Arden Alliance, she has no idea how dramatically her life is about to change. She finds out only after returning home to find Gabe with his throat slit, and is immediately arrested. Gabe had taken out an unusually high life insurance policy before his death, making her the perfect suspect. To prove her innocence, Jack has no choice but to use all her skills: she must escape from the police station and track down the real murderer on her own. If she fails, she will end up with a life sentence behind bars. Time is running out, and this time she can’t afford to make any mistakes…
