Legendary Jazz expert Herb Wong wrote of Ryan DeHues’ 2008 sophomore release for The Gold Label, ‘a surely serious contender in the current field…of male singers who aspire to fill the vacancies left from the passing of legendary vocalists the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mel Torm, Joe Williams, Nat ‘King’ Cole, Johnny Hartman and Billy Eckstine, among others.’ The crooner demonstrates his artistry in straight ahead Jazz, Brazilian, and today’s Jazz Electronica.
